We bought the Planet (aka Rainbow Planet) in June of 2004. We have made many changes and now it is a really great place.
It's like a big living room. Colorful and eclectic with comfy couches and chairs for relaxing and reading, and tables for eating and studying and going online on our free wireless internet.
We have bars with stools for people watching and outside tables for smokers ( and non-smokers) and nature lovers.
We have the largest private garden patio on 4th Avenue, with sun and shade, green things and bamboo.
Our coffee rocks and all our beans are roasted locally by Aaron et al. at Roaster X.
Our Chai is made in Tucson also by the fine folks at Maya Tea Company.
On Tuesdays local musicians play for ladies' night.
On Wednesdays "The Bears" (of The Old Pueblo) come out.

Give us a call if you have art to hang, songs to sing, poems to read, meetings to have, revolutions to plan (we have voter registration forms on hand at all times if you need to update) or if you just want to pick up some coffee and food on the fly. |

Our menu is huge considering that our kitchen is not. We have soups, salads, sandwiches and daily specials. Also some house favorites are our homemade hummus and famous fresh mozzerella salad. We have meat for carnivores and more veggie/vegan options for the rest of us including veggie bacon and of all things veggie corndogs.
Our cakes, pies, pastries, and quiches are made in house or delivered fresh from some of Tucson's best. Our food is beautiful, fresh, inexpensive and always served with a smile by fabulous, friendly, skilled baristas who are often very attractive and socially adept.
Whilst there are artists, rock-stars and super-models among us, we are not too-cool-for-school. We don't care who you know or how much you paid for those fancy shoes. We serve fantastic food and amazing drinks with or without espresso caffeine, always without attitude.
